Publication Ethics

The International Journal of Engineering and Applied Computing (IJEAC) editorial board regards the prevention of publication misconduct as a core obligation and is committed to maintaining high standards of ethics, error correction, and retraction practices.

For Editor(s)

• Publication Decisions: Editorial decisions rely on assessments from the Editorial and Review Boards; the editor retains full authority and accountability for accepting, rejecting, or requesting revisions to manuscripts.
• Review of Manuscripts: Editors must conduct initial manuscript assessments using plagiarism detection tools to verify originality.
• Fair Review: All submissions to IJEAC must undergo unbiased review based solely on academic merit, irrespective of author demographics, nationality, or religious beliefs.
• Confidentiality: Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted manuscript information.
• Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not exploit unpublished data from submissions for personal research without explicit author authorization.
• Ethical Guidelines: All publications must comply with international standards for research ethics and integrity.
• Proof of Misconduct: Paper rejection based on misconduct allegations requires documented evidence, not mere suspicion.

For Authors

• Publication Guidelines: Submissions must adhere to IJEAC's established submission and formatting guidelines.
• Original Work: Authors must guarantee that their work is original and unpublished in any prior form or platform.
• Multiple Submissions: Concurrent submission to other journals is prohibited; manuscripts must be exclusive to IJEAC.
• Authorship of the Paper: Only contributors with substantial involvement in the research may be listed as authors.
• Data Access and Retention: Authors must provide supporting data for verification upon request and maintain records accordingly.
• Authenticity of Data: All sources must be properly cited, and authors attest to the genuineness and accuracy of reported data.

For Reviewers

• Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality of manuscript details and treat all information as privileged.
• Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers must verify that all data sources are properly acknowledged and cited by authors.
• Standards of Objectivity: Reviews must maintain academic objectivity without personal commentary directed at authors.
• Supporting Argument: Assessments must include detailed reasoning and substantive justification for all recommendations.
• Plagiarism, Fraud, and Other Ethical Concerns: Any suspected instances of plagiarism, fraud, or ethical violations must be reported to the editor with specific references to related work.
• Relevant Work: Reviewers should highlight pertinent literature that merits inclusion in the manuscript.
• Promptness: Reviewers unable to meet review deadlines must notify the editor promptly for reassignment to another reviewer.
